England modify World Cup jersey

Word has already crept out across the internet, and images from the England World Cup squad’s wardrobe department have found their way onto the darker corners of the web. Feverpitcher isn’t the first to come across them, but we thought we’d give those of you who haven’t seen the new look England jersey, the chance to size up the Poms’ post-Springbok attire…

…one which we have to confess we rather like. The O2 logo read a little too much like an England soccer score under Sven Goran-Eriksson, rather than a legend befitting the rugby jersey of the reigning World Champions; that’s all changed, the O36 replacement a cheerful sight for every South African fan. Will the replica jerseys be selling out across London? The number of South Africans, Australians and New Zealanders in the English capital suggests they well do a brisk trade; England supporters may not be buying them en masse, but Feverpitcher has an order in already. Perfect gear for a Test match at Twickenham, we reckon.
