Johnny Borrell on cricket

Mick Jagger is probably cricket’s biggest rock star fan, but he isn’t the only one, as evidenced by this particular quote from Razorlight’s Johnny Borrell, picked up earlier in the week by Cricinfo. Explaining how he picked up his interest in the game, the muso’s completely honest: ”When I was 17, I started watching it on the telly as it was a great way of occupying five days before the next dole cheque came in.” So there you have it: cricket, keeping Britain’s unemployed masses entertained…
