Spurs star Sox needs the right girl

Right, one for the ladies… The man in the picture is Socrates Georgiades, former Cape Town Spurs goalkeeper, now spinning discs at assorted clubs around the planet as DJ Sox. One of the finest ‘keepers South Africa has seen, despite his diminutive stature (he stands five foot two), Sox played alongside Andre Arendse and Wayne Roberts at Spurs, and was something of a football superstar…

…which makes his single status something of a surprise. At 42, the Greek celebrity almost found true love a year ago, but the dazzling blonde bride he’d sourced at no small expense from a Ukrainian website, turned out to be large, moustachioed, and vested of what looked suspiciously like an Adam’s apple.
