Yes, it’s niiiiice…

The five gentlemen in picture are the latest to celebrate Khazakstan’s wandering ambassador: Team Borat, who’re planning to take on the Midmar Mile (February 10), to tie in with the launch of the Borat DVD on March 16. They’ll be chipping in R5 000 for charity, and are aiming to attract attention by wearing the now infamous lumo body thong that Borat wore to Cannes.

But as the picture (taken with the combination wife/sister/daughter/cousin/courtesan of several of the team members) suggests, they haven’t quite replicated the Borat look - there appears to be a collection Elton John fantasy shorts spoiling the effect. Feverpitcher readers will agree, no doubt, that if we’re going to throw our not inconsiderable weight behind the Khazakstani quintet, we’ll need the lads to be wearing the real deal. We await the photos with interest - and keep an eye out if you’re also swimming the Midmar in February.
