Right on track
There’s been a fair amount of negative conjecture surrounding preparations for 2010, and until now, that conjecture hasn’t been entirely unfounded.
But Feverpitcher has some very good sources inside FIFA HQ, and this morning a secret photograph was smuggled through to us, showing the almost completed Eastern Cape stadium (illustrated), that should be ready for its first game by mid-March. A heart-warming scene - and one that suggests there’s even hope for Cape Town having somewhere to play football come the World Cup.
