Take it off for Maria
You’ve got to admire the, er, balls of the man - as sports divas go, Maria Sharapova is pretty much top drawer, and so giving her a first hand look at what you have to offer is a brave effort. The art of streaking has received short shrift from sporting authorities across the board, and incidents of nudity at major events is sadly on the decline. But there moments that suggest streaking isn’t quite dead yet, and today at Wimbledon was one of them. Maria, on the surface, played cold and unimpressed - but inside she was surely touched by such a simple romantic gesture. Now if only she’d do the decent thing, and respond in kind in the next round.
